The Dome Ring
A sculptural ring by Mikkel Brøgger
The Dome Ring is a contemporary study in volume and proportion — a smooth, tapered dome polished to a gentle mirror finish, shaped to sit comfortably and confidently on the hand.
This design has been part of my studio vocabulary since 2007, when I first carved the original model by hand. Over the years I’ve returned to it again and again, refining the curvature, weight, and balance — always seeking that quiet point where the form feels inevitable.
The ring is made in solid precious metal, giving it a reassuring weight in the hand — not heavy for the sake of heaviness, but grounded, honest, and present. You feel the material when you wear it. The polished surface softens and reflects the light, and with time it develops a lived-in patina — a record of contact, movement, and life.

A note on the design
First created in 2007 and still produced by hand today, each Dome Ring carries subtle variations from the making process — quiet traces of craft held within a form defined by clarity and strength.
